 "I had the good fortune to participate in a session with Kelsi and her equine colleagues, Vero and Cheyenne.  The initial purpose was to observe how her program would work for my clients who are family caregivers. I was looking for ways to enhance their communication skills and help boost their confidence in general. I am delighted to say that I was  able to experience firsthand a number of  AHA!  moments  into my own strengths and challenges of the way I interacted with others –humans and horses alike. I am 65 years old and not a novice around horses.  Participating in this program helped me re-evaluate my interpersonal relationships, personally and professionally.  "Our Caregiver Program has used Kelsi’s equine leadership skills for our grandparents raising grandchildren. The response from the grandparents was that if they can get an 1100-pound horse to do what they ask, then they could do the same with a child! It has increased their awareness on how they communicate and when they fall short, Kelsi gives them alternatives for better results. Besides providing techniques and guidance for better communication, it gives the student a chance to experience horses in a safe and therapeutic environment.
